I would doze off for 2 hours and then jerk to wakefulness which really upsets me. I need uninterrupted sleep. I dont know which one to help is it zinc, magnesium or Vitamin D or any other vitamins. I would be so happy if I can get 8 hours continuous sleep. I am at work as I am feeling okayish despite that. I am happy with my atendance the past few because that means I will be paid higher this month.

melatonin helps some people sleep. I tried it but it didn’t help me sleep. It might help you.

I recommend Melatonin. People recommend asking your doctor before taking any kind of supplement, but my doctor recommended Melatonin, and my dad’s doctor recommended Melatonin too. It is almost always recommended for sleep the natural way. You usually find it with the rest of the vitamins. I take Magnesium, but it doesn’t help me sleep. It can help some people, but it didn’t do anything for me. I take it because my neurologist recommended it to help prevent migraines.

Does melatonin help to get to sleep or stay asleep?

@AmbiePam I hope it is over the counter and not a prescription.

@yoalldudes No, it's over the counter. It should be where all the other vitamins and supplements are.

I've been watching YouTube videos on how to use your body to communicate your mind to calm down. It is recommended that you take two deep breaths quickly and slowly exhale. This instructs your mind to lower your heart rate and relax you. I also noticed some people using weighted blankets, so I purchased one to check if it was true. I noted that it is definitely heavy, yet it has a soothing effect, as if the blanket is cuddling you. One disadvantage is that you must be in an air-conditioned environment when using this because it can become hot.

Ruby and Amber are correct, it's Melatonin that helps for sleeping disorder. Disconnect devices one hour before going to bed and relax 30 minutes before turning of the light.

Have you tried Melatonin? It's supposed to help you sleep longer and without as many interruptions. Ask your doctor about it. Enjoy your day.

I got u gurl! Exercise or dance before going to sleep, so u feel a little tired if not u already are! Then put ear phones and play smooth chill sleepy music with low volume. U will fall asleep and won't wake up till ur alarm rings off!! I know those vitamins are important but i don't know which one u should take as I am not sure myself. But the tip above may sound childish, but it actually works. Sleep music helps ur brain concentrate and fall asleep. And in ur case, since u are waking up in a jerk, it is ur brain waking up suddenly, but the body still wants sleep, so i hope u give music a try!
