I will never understand cats

There they are both Sunny and Peppie sleeping together For quite a while now Peppie has avoided Sunny although Sunny has been wanting his company. And now this is what I see. Peppie even gave her a cuddle.
We have had cats for years and I must admit their way of life is a mystery to me. Peppie stays away these days and does not even eat here sometimes but he has been putting on weight. Probably someone is feeding him. So let it be as long as Peppie is in good health.
What's your cays story?

Yeah, they are mysterious, unpredictable, and complicated. They can be playful and affectionate one minute, but then aloof and disinterested the next. So confusing, but I really love them. After all, cats are just being cats.

I was not happy when the parents ignored Sunny and now to see Peppie and Sunny cuddled together it is such a relief.

They are mysterious and I am sure that it's one thing that keeps you amused. Isn't it
Glad that Peppie is well fed. Hopefully, he is getting the quality that you give to the cats.

I do not even know who feeds him but that he is being fed is visible from the weight he has put on (lol)
They keep me merrily on my toes.

@arunima25 As I have often mentioned these cats do not let us handle them and so it is difficult to manage that. But Peppie seems healthy.

@allknowing I hope that he doesn't get overweight. That can come with all sorts of health issues. I know that all these cats are street cats and not in house. Do you take them for vet visits and vaccinations as people do it for in house pets??

My Henry was born into a feral barn cat colony at my friend's horse farm. His mother was one of the feral barn cats and so was Henry until the day he saw me wandering around in the barn and decided to adopt me. That was eight years ago. He is now a harness and leash-trained gentleman indoor cat. Yesterday, he was clingy all day. Today, he is in the same room with me, but letting me type.

Sunny's mother does not belong to us but as Peppie our cat became friends with her she has stayed and she is taken care of here.
Henry is one lucky guy.
