The first one is actually a pair of Haikus written to mark the anniversary of the atom bomb attacks on Japan in 1945. 1/. Hiroshima Day The day humanity died Evolution fails (Written on the 6th August, anniversary of the dropping of the atomic bomb). Nagasaki Day Oh Christ was once not enough? Murdering scum bags! Commemorating the 9th August, anniversary of the dropping of the second atomic bomb 2/. He gazed at the star Restraining orders arrived Put a stop to that Pun on asytonomy star gazing and stalking celebrities such as glamorous movie stars. 3/. Not Methusaleh Ploughed through the first three score years Only got ten left In The Bible Methuselah lived to 969 while the Bible sets the average life span to 70 years - 3 score plus 10, a score being 20 years. As I'm 61, I'm down to 9 years left by their reckoning. 4/. Tortoise overtakes Aesop's fabled racing Hare Cheating with jet packs Silly play on the famous race where a tortoise beats a hare in a running race. 5/. More fish in the sea Quite a lot of them are sharks Swim clear of cliches Hate how people seem to react to relationship breakdown with just pick another partner and try again, and use the opening line to hammer the idea home. I always enjoy your haikus. I'm 5 years past the Bible's average life span! Enjoy the new week.

I like the first one. Sad and hurting but unfortunately true.
