Do you support local?

Do you support small local products and businesses in your area? A lot of students nowadays are into doing handmade products to support their studies. Moms sell their preloved baby stuff online. A lot of them are doing Facebook live. I don't. August 16th, today, is when we open our small shop in the mall. We are crossing our fingers that things would go smoothly and that people would actually support our handmade products. Sophie is wearing the outfit I made for her from head to foot.

Thanks Valerie. I didn't expect to make sales on the first day but I received the inventory last night and I guess I have to crochet a lot today.

@toniganzon This picture bug is annoying, also the avatars come and go now. I am glad you had a good start for your store.

I hope everything goes well for your shop! Right now, all we support is the local grocery store and several different doctors each.

The people in my country usually go for imported products thinking they have better quality which sometimes is true. And people here have a backward concept that handmade should be cheaper coz it can easily be made.

@DaddyEvil People's mind set here is different but we are not selling our products low just because of that. I am very much aware of how handmade products are much appreciated in your country than here.

@toniganzon Oh, I see. That's a shame. Handmade here is more expensive because of the labor involved in making it.

Congratulations, wish your shop is going well. From my heart,i would like to support local products, however,if local is costly and don't have good quality,i will prefer foreign to local products,i don't wanna waste money.

I bought a couple things from a Mylotter’s Etsy shop that I loved. I used to shop at local, non chain health food stores, but the prices went up, and I couldn’t afford it. I’m sure your shop is going to do well. I love it when I find a new store in a mall that is not a boring chain. People are going to get into your shop too. I look forward to all of the updates.

Mylot glitch. If you see on the mylot discussion tab there's a question mark in the place where the photo should be. I have cleared and re attach the photo too many times but it's still a question mark. It is less than 3mb.

I support local when I can. Our village handicraft group is having a Christmas stall a bit later in the year and will be selling their products. Good luck with your stall.

I don't see any picture.. Yes I always support locally made products. I even organize a village people to become good weavers of products using weeds . I am sad they've disbanded...
