Ever since Barbie the movie was released in the cinema, it is the talk of town .Some say the movie is not good enough and they just wasted their time and money , some say its good because there were scenes that the public disnt know abour the real Barbie is and how it was made and developed.
I dont know much of Barbie history but I played with Barbie dolls when I was still a kid. I remember I used to play Barbie doll with my sister and she would get jealous and hide it from me.
Now that we are grown ups, its just so nostalgic to see our favorite doll.
My fellow lotters and readers do you have a favorite toy with you now? I dont have Barbie anymore but I do have picture now ..

@iKONICNoona - I was already a teenager when the first Barbie dolls was sold in my country. I had no interest in that doll.

When I was growing up, Barbie was not so popular amongst middle economy class. It was mostly for rich and elite. But my daughters did play with Barbie and they had their own collection, which I passed on to my niece and they are still with her.
I have not watched the movie but my daughters went with their friends. They liked it.

@iKONICNoona Good for you. I was never a big fan of Barbie even during my childhood. My grandmother was very good with making dolls. She made beautiful dolls with lovely dresses. I had around a dozen of them and each one was unique.

Oh yes that was the thinking before about owning a barbie doll. We were lucky that time because my mom was working abroad she can buy it for us , and I remember too that we have the barbie doll house before ...its so good to reminisce sometimes. How time flies...

So, do you have any desire to see the Barbie movie? I love Margot Robbie (who plays Barbie), but I don’t really have any plans to see the movie.
I don’t have any toys from my childhood still with me. If I did, they would be in my dad’s garage, and I doubt he kept a lot of things. I had Barbies too: regular Barbie, Skipper, and even Kira, the Hawaiian Barbie doll. She was one of my favorites.

@iKONICNoona I loved the movie - my favourite toys were models of knights in armour - I still have some of them too.
