New way of doing Real Estate. . .

I was looking for my 87 year old mother to move into a new apartment last month. I found a few apartments, and the way that the real estate agents work nowadays is cheap. One apartment was in a very nice area of town, so I thought that the apartment would be very nice. But when we got there it was a converted parking spaces in the parking lot. Cars still were parking there. When I finally found the place, I called the real estate agent to find out where he was. He was in his office, and told me where the key was, and told me to go in. The ceiling was pretty low, there was a living room, a kitchen and a bathroom with a shower. That's it. No windows. A heater in the living room. About 25 sq. meters. The agent wanted me to put him on what'sapp video, and show us the apartment that way. He didn't come to meet us. We put the key back in its hiding place and walked out. Not a good impression at all. Is this the way that real estate agents are now working?

I have not dealt with any real estate agent in a long time. So, I am not sure as to how it is working these days. This doesn't sound like a good impression to me either. But these, more and more businesses are moving to remote working with all digital advancements.

This type of remote work to look at apartments, doesn't work for me. The agents charge a month's rent to show apartments, and this man did not earn his money at all.

@lifecoachjerusalem I said the same. With your description, I didn't find the way appealing at all. Also, I didn't get a good impression of the apartment either. Seems too small.

@lifecoachjerusalem This was without an agent. Why pay someone when you do the work yourself anyway?

My mother went by herself to an agency that gives list of apartments for rent, and she found an apartment on her own!
