There are many small things and gadgets that I did not care much about until I became older. I now have a small notebook that I can place inside my bag where I write down my grocery list when I remember of something I need. If eggs ot toilette paper are not written there, no matter how much I needed them, I forget to ask the shopper to bring them. The items can burst into my head at any time of the day or even at night. I´m about to fall asleep and I visualise a lettuce, shout "lettuce" as I learned about the "Eureka" and write it down. The pillbox has become a necessity for me too for several years now. Normally I wake up and take my pills with a command of my automatic pilot. But if said pilot is aleep, the moment is gone forever. And there comes the pillbox to remind me. As with the keys when I go out, I have an OCD that deals with my pills. I NEED to check them out. I open the pillbox. If they are all there (the ones I should have taken in the morning too) I stop everything else and have my pills. Same thing happen at night. What devise do you use now that you did not much care for before?

I have a pillbox with morning and evening slots in it. I used to just use all the slots for mornings but I've gradually had to start using the evening slots as I have to take some meds twice a day now.

Aren´t they clever? Specially if, like me, a person only knows their name and their ID number.

@DaddyEvil Fortunatly, I only take 4 pills in my whole day now that the knee doctor has given me pills for the knee pain. Still, 2 pills are too many if I have to take one in the morning and another at night. The pill box helps. If the pill is in there, I fetch my glass of water

@marguicha I keep a list updated in my phone with the names of my meds, the dosages and the doctor's name that prescribed them to me. (Pretty keeps the same list in her phone for me, just in case.)

I put my medication in a dish on the kitchen counter so I’ll be sure to take them.

@RubyHawk I don´t take vitamins after I read that if you eat every day a well balanced diet you don´t need any unless a doctor says so for some special reason

@marguicha I only take three a day and I take those at the same time. I take my vitamins separately.

I do love a pill box. I'd have to have all the bottles out somewhere to remind me if I didn't.

So true. And in my case, some would always be lost.

I wrote everything on the antibiotic boxes and then forgot. These pill boxes are perfect even for dumb people like me.

Sorry, I go out so rarely that the things I cannot do without each day are all my notebooks so I know what I plan on doing day by day. When I got out I have a black cloth bag with me to hold my wallet and keys.

I do both the things you do although it's Vince who has the pill boxes. I have an ongoing list of grocery items that I need. Usually the first item goes on it as soon as I get home from a trip to the supermarket! lol

I have a 7-day pillbox and take my meds at noon and midnight. I always keep a pad of paper handy to write a grocery list or a Discussion for MyLot. Enjoy your day.

I also thought I will always remember things but even my maintenance medicine I tend to forget whether I've taken or not and yes the pillbox is. great help. I lost down my grocery list on my notes of my android phone.
