Anybody using Google Docs and Spreadsheets?

Google recently introduced Google Docs and Spreadsheets, free Web-based word processing and spreadsheet applications. Has anybody tried these? Do they work well, and if so do you think they'll be a good alternative for people who don't want to spend hundreds of dollars on Microsoft Office?

I haven't tried them because I'm paranoid about security. I am just hesitant for any internet application to have access to my data files, even if it's just while I'm composing them.

I use them. Mostly for movie spread sheets and things I try to keep track of both home and at work
