Hi guys, Hope you all are doing good. I am doing well too. "National Sponge Cake" is celebrated today on 23rd August. This day was invented in early 18th Century by a respected and wealthy member of the Pallavicini family in Genoa commissioned a cake that was as light and delicate as sea foam. Sponge cake has been originated in Italy. Sponge Cake is accompanied with English Tea and in any other event. The fluffy layered cake is filled with lot of different fillings like Chocolate Icing, Fruit Jam, Light Lemon icing dusted with confectioner's sugar. I really enjoy eating Sponge Cake.
