I don't know if it is like this in your country, but in Israel the IKEA is a maze. You have to walk through every single department, first with a basket to carry your stuff, and then half way through they give you a shopping cart to finish the store. It takes about 3 hours to walk the store and then you have to go to the storeroom and give them your list of inventory numbers. If you didn't write down correctly. . . it is difficult to go back and get the right number. I went once on a Saturday night and didn't get out until 10:30pm! If I can help it, I'm not going back there!

I enjoy IKEA stores. We have several in our area but they require driving about 1 1/2-2 hours. My biggest problem is my bad leg, which doesn't always allow me to walk for 3 hours, but I adapt. A person really needs a truck or a super large SUV or van--assembled or not, boxes take up a lot of space.

I would rather be able to go to the department that I need to buy things. I don't like to have to walk all the store. There should be short cuts that take you to the department you want to go.

Many people feel that way. It's just a sneaky way they get you to look at all of their items, in hopes you will buy extra things. Kind of like the grocery stores here in the US. So many people buy milk and bread, and they always keep the milk in the back of the store, so that the customers have to make the walk through all of their goods and hopefully spend more money.
The grocery store closest to me recently moved their bread isle to a far corner, as well, so people have to walk through lots of items. It never ends.

I've seen one in the big city but didn't get inside, I got no idea how the store operates.

The biggest Ikea in the world is actually in my country. But it's well organized and the shopping experience there is a breeze.

I like IKEA stores in my location. I got a lot of inspirations on home decor. The staff are helpful and friendly.
