Of rain overnight you nasty thinking peoples 
. The first storm woke me up by blowing the fan out of the window. That one was coming out of the east which is unusual here. It had wind and noise with it. After a couple of hours I woke up and put the fan back in the window. Then after that we got more rain but it was a more normal thunderstorm. I don't see any damage except a sunflower on the ground.
Will be going to do the grocery shopping soon. Hope I get back before it gets to hot. I don't have a large list today. But hubby does need a new coffee maker. I will search those in a few minutes.

They usually don't wake me. But between the fan falling and the wind that one did.
That is too much at one time. Glad yours wasn't like that

@Juliaacv The floor is carpeted so wasn't real loud. Just not a proper sound. I love thunderstorms usually.
That is an awful accident. That's one of the reasons they say not to drive through water. You can't see under it

@wolfgirl569 Sometimes I break red licorice into sections about that long. 
Does it get hot enough there for heat lightning?
We have rain in the forecast for Saturday and Sunday. That will be nice. We might be able to mow the front yard again on Saturday before it rains.

Yes it does. We have hit 90s a few times this year. Less than normal actually

I knew you were talking rain and I've envious. We could use a lot more than that, but three inches would make a huge dent in the drought.
I'm sorry the storm knocked your fan out of the window.
Have a good speedy shopping trip. I know how much you 'love' them. I did my shopping on the way home from the doctor's appointment.

And we didn't need It. They just said average is not much over that for August here.

It's a box fan so not real heavy. But the wind seldom comes from that direction

Glad to hear that the storm did not do too much damage in your place. I don't think I can sleep through a thunderstorm as our state is prone to tornadoes (midwest). Well, I live in the Rockies now, so I am not sure how often these tornadoes make a landfall here.

I was watching a Cleveland station during the tornado warning last night, and they were talking about flash flooding being horrible throughout northeast Ohio.
