Rainy Mid-Morning

My husband has to postpone his daily morning walks today, it started raining around 10:30am. My office is facing the window on the way to an open space adjacent to a park. We have trees bordering the curb and I have a front view of the birds trying to shelter from the rain by nestling between the branches. The sight and sound that this rain brought is very calming and soothing. It's making me want to curl back in bed, but I know I have lots of stuff to do. I have a few minutes right now so I thought of sharing this to you all. I have a couple of meetings that got cancelled this morning, but I ma not complaining. It's Friday, and I am ready to just start winding down my day. I still have hours to go before I do that, but a girl can dream. I am glad that the rain is not heavy. I have all hopes that it will stop momentarily so we can go about our day still. I am also not complaining of the cooler weather, I just don't like being out and about and getting wet.
