Everybody has one favorite Christmas movie they like to watch every year, what is your most favorite Christmas movie that you want to see this year. My favorite is 'It's a Wonderful Life' with Jimmy Stewart. Even though it's a really old movie, it still gives a good lesson about how we each matter in others lives, and how their lives would be different without us in it. What will you be sure not to miss this year?

My all time favorite Christmas movie is also Jimmy Stewart' "It's a wonderful life. I love the way he finds out how things would be if he had never been born. and revels in the pain from the fat lip and find JuJu's flower in his pocket. I'm also leaning toward "The Christmas Shoes" It's such a lovely little story

It's a Wonderful Life is my favorite too. It wouldn't be Christmas without watching it at least once. Gee, I never heard of The Christmas Shoes, will have to see if it's on tv this season.

it's a movie based on the song Newsong
The Christmas Shoes
It was almost Christmas time, there I stood in another line
Tryin' to buy that last gift or two, not really in the Christmas mood
Standing right in front of me was a little boy waiting anxiously
Pacing 'round like little boys do
And in his hands he held a pair of shoes
His clothes were worn and old, he was dirty from head to toe
And when it came his time to pay
I couldn't believe what I heard him say
Chorus:
Sir, I want to buy these shoes for my Mama, please
It's Christmas Eve and these shoes are just her size
Could you hurry, sir, Daddy says there's not much time
You see she's been sick for quite a while
And I know these shoes would make her smile
And I want her to look beautiful if Mama meets Jesus tonight
He counted pennies for what seemed like years
Then the cashier said, "Son, there's not enough here"He searched his pockets frantically
Then he turned and he looked at me
He said Mama made Christmas good at our house
Though most years she just did without
Tell me Sir, what am I going to do,
Somehow I've got to buy her these Christmas shoes
So I laid the money down, I just had to help him out
I'll never forget the look on his face when he said
Mama's gonna look so great
Sir, I want to buy these shoes for my Mama, please
It's Christmas Eve and these shoes are just her size
Could you hurry, sir, Daddy says there's not much time
You see she's been sick for quite a while
And I know these shoes would make her smile
And I want her to look beautiful if Mama meets Jesus tonight
Bridge:
I knew I'd caught a glimpse of heaven's love
As he thanked me and ran out
I knew that God had sent that little boy
To remind me just what Christmas is all about

I'm with you Joyful. I love "It's A Wonderful Life." My mom got it for me for Christmas one year I can watch it even if it's not Christmas season hehe. I also love "White Christmas" with Bing Crosby. He's a wonderful singer and actor. Granted it's an older movie but that's part of what makes it great.

That's really nice that your Mom got you a copy of it to watch. There's nothing wrong with older movies, even if they are in black and white. Unlike movies of today, most of the older ones had a message in it somewhere. Hope you have a wondererful holiday season!

I don't have a favorite christmas movie. It does not mean so much to me, christmas. Although this year I go to my brother, his wife and four kids, and all the friends to share the evening together. It's the first time I do this, because of my mother who is living with me, she's ill and I want her to have the greatest christmas off all. No movie needed.

That's wonderful of you Costello to make your mother's Christmas so special. You're a good daughter:-) You're right, no movie is needed to do this! I wish you and your mother a most wonderful Christmas holiday, and I hope she's feeling good enough to enjoy herself some!

Its's a Wonderful Life, because my first husband, who had a depressive illness, usually was uplifted by this one. I think the first time I saw it was in February, though, and I was very ill, and that is another whole story in and of itself. Did you know there is a version with a reversed gender, with Marlo Thomas as the lead?

Wonderful Life's my all time favorite. I didn't know that there was another version of it. I always liked Marlo, so I'll have to see if it'll be on this season and check it out! By the way, I hope you are feeling 100% better after whatever it was you went through! Wishing you a happy holiday!

"It's a Wonderful Life" is my favorite all time movie at Christmas or not. I love that movie. I also like "A Christmas
Carol." The one with Alistar Sims is the best. I always watch "Rudolph the Rednosed Reindeer" too.

For the most part, I enjoy comedy's over anything else. Who doesn't like to laugh, lol!? I think you're right, a good Christmas comedy does bond with the Christmas spirit.

I like the Grinch a lot, it brings a good message in a very light and funny way. It's a christmas movie for the whole family, and that's why I like it.
I like Jim Carry a lot anyway :)

Mine is Home Alone, i see it about 20 times but i'm happy to watch it every christmas
Home Alone is a classic 1990 holiday film starring Macaulay Culkin as Kevin McCallister, an eight-year-old who is mistakenly left behind when his family flies to France for a Christmas vacation. While initially relishing his time alone, he is later threatened with two house burglars, whom he outwits by rigging the house with booby traps.
Most of the film was shot in the Chicago suburb of Winnetka, Illinois and Wilmette, Illinois. Any other shots, such as those of Paris, are either stock footage or faked.
The film made Macaulay Culkin a celebrity. The film also features Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern as the "Wet Bandits," a bumbling pair of burglars named Harry and Marv who try to rob the McCallister home, believing it to be an easy mark with the family absent. The duo, unfortunately for themselves, run into numerous booby traps set by the resourceful Kevin throughout the house. It becomes apparent, however, that although they may get knocked back, they are getting stronger. Catherine O'Hara, Roberts Blossom, and John Heard also co-star.
