It was a long wait to get in and see my doctor about my sciatica, she was booked up so far. So I finally got to see her and she had me bend, twists, lay down and knew exactly what and where it was hurting the most. She grab the back of my butt cheek where all the pain was and said is this it, why yes it is lol. So because it's so bad and never stopping pain, she upped one of my meds, which don't work because thats now I take it now and she made it that way..and she wants me to start physical therapy. They called me this morning and can't get me into till October.

That's a while to wait to get started in physio. Things in the medical world take so long these days! Sorry about the pain being that bad

She said it's because of my insurance and that it's full with others, and the pain is so bad that I can't even stand and cook dinner without having to bend over and stretch it..

@MommyOfEli2013 no it's not fun at all and completely suck when it's to this point. Yes they should do something to make it quicker for us that can't even stand and the pain is making life hard.

@hillhjill Well that is understandable, about the insurance, but when someone is in that bad of pain then they should really do something to make it quicker! Sometimes my back pain gets bad like that, to where I can't stand for more than a few minutes...not fun at all

The medicine if I take enough will knock me out, the pain is still there but at that point I don't care lol... I've look some up of what physical therapy does, I'll just do it myself and see if it helps.

Crap. If only your insurance paid for a chiropractor. I guess you have no choice to wait until October, darn it. I’m sorry.

No it don't pay for it but I talked to her because I don't know how far away my surgery is. She said if I have to cancel then just call them.

I hope the PT works and the pain goes away. I'm sorry it will take so long for you to start getting therapy, though.

@hillhjill You're welcome. I'd try calling the doctor and asking if that would help.

Thank you and I really hope that it helps as well, even though I'm wanting to ask if I can do the one that is up stairs.

Specialists are getting booked too quickly these days. My husband had a procedure done last August 8th, and his follow-up appointment isn't until September 13th. That's the soonest that the doctor can accommodate him. Glad to hear you're able to see your doctor, hope your therapy goes well.

Glad you got help with your sciatica. Mine occasionally acts up but I manage with it, I have no money for meds and I certainly have no way to get to any physical therapy. Sometimes it doesn't bother me and other times I helps if I sit more than stand and walk. I am sorry that your pain is so bad and I hope that with the meds it will get better until you can get into therapy. Mine was that bad at the very beginning when it all started for me many years ago but now after many moons, it only stabs occasionally,
