There is a lot of stress that comes around this time of year and I was wondering what you do to survive Christmas. This is my first year actually concerned because my daughter is now old enough to get excited about presents and understand what's going on. We've already gotten her a couple things, but we'd like to get her a few more. Also, my 4 year old step son will hopefully be with us for half of Christmas day as well. (He was supposed to last year and the year before but his mom wouldn't allow him to see us.)
I don't like taking baths, but I've already taken a couple showers to help relieve the stress. What do you do?

i survive Christmas by remembering what its really all about. i try not to get caught up in all the crap and go with the flow. i don't stress out about shopping or cooking. i shop all year so i don't have to do it all at once. i even wrap things when i buy them i have to put a post it on the boxes so i remember what they are but thats ok. like i said no stress just celebrating Jesus' birthday.

My husband is athiest so I'm having my mom teach our daughter the real meaning of Christmas. (That way he can't get mad at me and he already doesn't like my mom!)
A lot of stress comes from my job as well. I'm completely over loaded and way behind and they keep promising me help but I'm not getting any. It's frustrating. Take that plus the holiday's and I get stressed out.
