Wednesday Update

Hey everyone, how are you all doing? Well I hope... It's Wednesday, which means it is almost the end of the school week. With the holiday coming up, Eli will get 4 days off instead of just 3. This year they do get homework; they will take it home Monday and have to return it the following Monday. For this week he had a lot of math problems. Some that were kinds of math they haven't learned yet. I think it was just to see what they know so far - but we'll see. Speaking of Eli; he is still sick with a cough. Glad his fever and sore throat went away though. He only had those the very first day. Now he is stuck with the cough that stays for over a week. Yesterday was a busy day with Laundry. I also had to drop my mom's dog off at the groomer. The whole morning was a mess because I tried to get gas on the way, but the place I went to was having issues at the pump with my card. After picking up the pup, I went to a different gas station and that one worked right away. How much is gas where you are? It is up to $4.09 a gallon here! That's crazy. The rest of the day I did laundry, worked on a diamond painting, made dinner (finger steaks and baked potatoes). I have been working on more art too, which I will share here as I can.

I'm sure that if the math problems aren't something he's learned yet, the teacher is seeing what they know. I'm sorry you had trouble at the first gas station you went to. I'm glad your card worked at the second one. Your dinner sounds good. Gas here is around $3.50/gallon.

@MommyOfEli2013 Back when I was learning division, they taught long division. I had no clue how to do that. My grandmother taught me how to do it. Do it the old way, then translate it to the new way.

@just4him Well I don't even know what the new way is. Not sure I'd ever get a hang of a "new way" of math

Well it was more complex addition and subtraction...more than just one or 2 digits. So I taught him how I knew to do it, not sure if that is how the teacher will though since these days things are taught differently. It's okay, just didn't have time to be wasting that morning. Dinner was good, although filling. $3.50 is better than here, even the cheapest I have seen lately is $3.87

Gas had been $3.49-$3.69; but hubs said he saw some at $3.29. That's VERY unusual right before a holiday. I hope Eli's cough goes away soon. Have a good day.

@MommyOfEli2013 Over $4 is like it's in California! Their prices are always high.

@LindaOHio Wonder how high it is there currently! But here it has always been in the middle ground area...not the highest, but never the cheapest either

I have shared 34 of them here, but there might be a couple that I haven't....so maybe 36 or so. Currently working on 2 different ones, and plan to start a horror one soon to finish before Halloween lol.

Sadly that's not the full story.....I just share the good parts mostly. Sometimes some of the stresses too. Guess things could be worse, but I also wish they could be better (at least money wise)

It got that hight here a couple of weeks ago but came back down to 3.56 a gal recently. By tomorrow or may go back to because of all the traveling.

Sorry to hear that Eli has a cough, sometimes they like to hang around for awhile. Our gas just went down to 3.89, still that's so high and freaking crazy. That's why we go across the state line to MO and get gas there for 3.40. Steak fingers sound good, we are to the point where we are scraping for meat. Love seeing you art, looks like something AI would make.

I am sorry too, because it lasts so long. 3.89 is better than here....but getting it for 3.40 is a lot better. Well even that is too much but it is better. Finger steaks are good, especially homemade. Sorry that you are scraping for meat.... Is that a good thing, about the art? And I guess if people want to see my art they can find me on facebook lol since I share it all there lol
