Today I heard water running from somewhere in the house. So, as soon as Anita arrived and we finished breakfast and the kitchen work, we started to check.
Juanita, the washing machine, had finished her job so it wasn´t her. I stayed near the meter and Anita ran up and down.
We finally gave up and I decided to call Mario. He wasn´t going to come today as he had another job elsewhere but when he heard about the water running he arrived immediatly.
After a lot of checking he found out that he had to buy a new valve. He´ll do that now and he will come tonight after he finishes his work in his other job.
We shared our lunch with him and he was very happy.
Around 2 months ago, Marco left the upstairs water running a bit and I had to pay a giant water bill. Now the water bill is bigger that electricity.
See you later. I had to change my plans and will take a late nap.

He found a leak but I will check tomorrow if it is the only leak. Fortunatly, he feels free to come and help at night too as her lives near my house. And he has a car so that he can buy whatever he needs at the nearest Depot.

I like that you give names to your household appliances.
I'm lucky in that I don't get billed on the amount of water I use. I pay a flat yearly amount. The water company keep trying to get me to install a water meter so I can be billed on the amount I use. I did some calculations and realised I would probably be paying double the amount I currently pay if I switched to a meter.

@WorDazza Where I live, old houses are built with water meters. And old houses here are maybe a century old at the most. The old houses were all destroyed by earthquakes.

@marguicha All houses in the UK built after 1990 have to have a water meter but there are a huge number of old houses which haven't had meters retro-fitted.
If an area is considered to have severe water shortages then the water companies can fit meters without the home-owners consent.
The area I live in gets more rain than pretty much anywhere else in England and we have many reservoirs nearby so it's unlikely I'll ever be forced into having a meter fitted.
