Anyone else mad because you can't buy cold medicine because of all the meth head

I have 2 small children and they were both sick at the same time a few weeks ago. I went to the pharmacy to get some medicine the Dr. told me to get for them and they each had to have the same medicine one needed the infant kind and the other the children kind, the pharmacy would only let me buy 1 and made me show them my ID and sign for it so i basically had to choose between my sick children which one gets the medicine tonight. They said i could come back the next day and get the other but because of the METH labs they could only sell me one. Is this crap or what people, i cant buy meds for my kids because some a**hole likes to add it to battery acid and get high, should this be allowed??? What are your thoughts

It ticked me off to no end! NOW they've actually changed the ingredients, so what USED TO WORK, now may not. I hate to sound mean and uncaring but if they want to blow themselves up and take that crap then let them. Why should WE suffer simply because of them? My whole family has sinus issues. I buy sudafed like it's candy! With 4 of us I have to buy it by the tons! To tell me I'm LIMITED to 2 packs or whatever... it's bull!

Oh I know. The ones that really worked for me I can't find anymore because of that. Irritates me to no end.

I think that is a bunch of bull. Did you say do I look like I am going to mis use this?? I would have been pissed off.

I guess maybe we are going to have to have kids the same age just so you only need one box of meds.. That is awful. The doctor should have known that and gave you a sample of one and told you that you would have problems. I understand fully what they are doing, but it is awful you have to choose.

I think it's stupid that they are regulating cold meds like they do. OUr stores are using the card system. if you want the medicine you have to take the card to the pharmacy and they will get it for you. I have learned to "stock up" on what I use. I refuse to get caught at 7pm on the weekend needing medicine for my kids when the pharmacy isn't even open!!! and won't be until 9am the next day.

Yeap i had to do the same thing give my lic. and sign my name I really don't see that it is going to stop the people over 18 they can flip flop around to different places it is a crock.
