Why is it that people put so much effort in getting you to like them so you can date them but once the have you the effort is less

What do you think about this scenario? A girl gives a guy the big rush then after the guy's parents meet the girl's parents, the girl backs off. Is it because her parents don't like the guy's parents?

Not really, most times the end point (big picture )of most women in relationships is marriage... So once the have bagged that the feel they shouldn't put in any other effort cos they are married or about to. It also happens with men too. Just my thoughts

I know!! It's like that was the only aim to get them and forget they are supposed to retain the same energy they got them with. I don't know maybe it is the generation or is it peoples behaviours are changing

I wondered too .. if it's a generational thing but sadly enough it isn't.its just people behavior. Alot of people don't know that this is also part of the reason relationship don't last

Loss of interest? Selfish, in a challenge?...but do point that out to them as if its the case then try and resolve any issues to bring back the spark or problems, I do find this sort of thing mind-blowing as of many people I've found myself in this situation ?? too
