It's been a long time since I wrote about a song in my head; but take it from me, they have been swirling around in my brain. Today's song came from watching "People Puzzler" on the Game Show Network. It was one of the answers in a crossword puzzle. "Blue Bayout" was written by Roy Orbison and Joe Melson. Originally recorded by Orbison in 1963 it became an international hit It became Linda Ronstadt's signature song when she recorded it in 1977 and became a worldwide smash hit. It's Ronstadt's version that is swimming around in my head. Her version eventually was certified Platinum for selling over 2 million copies in the US and was nominated for a Grammy for Record of the Year and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance.
