Do you get in touch with your former colleagues

I am really happy these days, because I received one former colleague message, she told me she will be merried and bought one house with her boy friend, and the last time, she also sent message told me that she had changed her job to top 500 internal company. I am really glad to hear these good news.
She attend our company and as one number in our team, I give her too much help to improve her professional and other ability, she also is good learning, she stay in our team over 4 years, after she left our company, she always contact me sometimes, I am happy that I could give someone support who whatever in our team or left our team, I could try my best to help them to active a more competitive career, I also feel happyness.
Grateful to meet to you. I have also gained and grown in this period.

Normally i won't contact former colleagues,unless we built a deep friendship.There are a few colleagues who always keep contacts with me although we no longer serve in same company.However,most of former colleagues no longer contact with me.
