After weeks of waiting and countless requirements Andrea and I finally have some good news. Our mortgage broker said Santander finally approved our mortgage. We will be receiving paperworks from them through the post. I hope this would fast track our move to our future home as I do not want to pay Rosie any more rent. I feel like God has answered my prayers.

Thank you so much. I hope after this will be smoother as we had a lot of challenges obtaining it. Do you have any idea how long it might take to move in to new home?

@flapiz I have no idea how long it would take to move into a new home since my relatives do the searching for another home to live in when my relatives have to move out due to new owners wanting to rebuild a house.

@AmbiePam This is what pleases me most. I haven't told her yet as I don't want her to get anymore ideas of increasing my rent. I will leave her without warning.

That's great that you now have your mortgage approved. Do you have a house yet? I'm guessing not. Our son in Ireland has found a house and they are pleased with it. They say it is very nice - warm and dry. You would never say a house in Australia was 'dry' but of course our climate is vastly different to Ireland's. lol

Happy for you. The interest rates are reasonable I hope as they are going through the roof. It is better to own a house as rent paid goes into thin air.

Awesome, what great news! I still remember your last post on how she would totally take advantage of your contract-free living situation with her property. Now I cannot wait for your next update on how you she reacts after telling her you'll no longer be renting from her. I wish she tries how you need to give her more notice. That sounds evil, but I don't think she also realizes how bad of a landlady she is.

I've bought a house twice before, so I know how difficult the process can be, there's a lot of process, anyway, you have a new home.
