He Says It’s Too Soon…

…for Halloween/Thanksgiving decor. I told my husband that I am putting out new throw pillows for our couch. I changed the covers to orange burlap, and added these three decorative ones. I think these are cute, but he said it’s too early. He also complained that I now rendered the couch useless for sitting, but I showed it to him that one can still easily sit on a couch even with throw pillows on it. I think these look fine. What do you all think? Edited to add: darn image is not showing!

You can on a couch with pillows. I lie on one. We have pillows and things on our couches and that doesn't stop us.

It's just his argument because he's too lazy to put back the throw pillows where they should be before he sat on them.

My husband is the same with pillows, he does not like them on our couch. Too early for me for Halloween, it's still summer.

I have to tell my husband that aside from being decorative, the pillows are also there for back support.

I'm sure your pillows look very festive even though the picture didn't show. With the way time is flying by, Halloween isn't that far away

@Marilynda1225 Oh gosh, same here. I would have a million things to do that I want to check off my list so I don't have to hustle and brave the crowds.

@Raine38 I start making myself anxious just thinking that the holidays aren't that far off

I would tell him there are people who keep their Christmas decorations up year round so no, it's not too soon for Halloween/Thanksgiving decorations

That's another thing! I bet you that if I start putting Christmas decorations by November 1st, he'll have a new set of complaints.

Oh so what? IF it makes you happy go for it! I would have worn my Halloween long sleeved t last weekend if it has been cool enough.

Thanks for the vote of confidence, but I tried to upload the image since it seems like it's working now. Apparently not for me.

We bought all new Halloween yard decorations 2 weeks ago, and my daughter and girlfriend wanted to put them up right away. I said absolutely not, it's still August! Well, now they're talking about wanting to put up the decorations next weekend (mid-September) when my son comes to visit. I still think that's too early, but since it will be the only time my son visits between now and the holiday, I may relent and let them put up all the decorations. I am a huge fan of Halloween, but that doesn't mean I want all the decorations up 2 months before the holiday! lol
