The Justice Dilemma

The only two options are set all free, or all sent to prison. With those two choices on 2-3 murders, I would put them all free, given the two choices all free or all in jail. I won’t make one person suffer for the actions of two people. Now, when it comes to 99 & 1, one innocent, then I have to imprison all out of a safety concern. 2 murders can get dealt with by other means. Ninety-nine murders are complex and dangerous and a greater safety risk for the community.

Welcome to myLot. Please follow the advice of Go Ask Alice to familiarize yourself with the site's rules and guidelines.
Regarding your post, the historical idea of American justice has been that it is better that 100 guilty go free than one innocent man should be imprisoned. This is commonly disregarded by law enforcement and prosecuting attorneys whose goal is that someone should get convicted for a crime and who cares if they're actually guilty or not.
