Good afternoon. You may remember my sharing that my power wheelchair was damaged by the airline on a recent flight. We received the invoice for the repairs today, which the airline will pay. The cost of the repairs to my wheelchair were higher than the cost of the airline ticket. The airlines customer service agents and those contracted to assist passengers with disabilities are in significant need of professional development training on the correct disassembly and storage of mobility, assistive and medical equipment that is utilized in supporting people with disabilities.

Yes, but you know that's never going to happen. I refuse to fly because that's not a risk I'm willing to take. I got lucky the handful of times I've flown, but this is an all-to common problem. You had better make sure they actually pay up.

Yes they need education to say the least. I am so sorry this happened to you Manda Lee. Now it is the least they can do is pay the damages.

That is good that the airline will pay for the damage of the wheelchair.

I am in agreement with you the airline customer service agents need to be trained to be more careful handling passengers with disabilities.

Good morning from my end. It's 3:48AM here of September 15th. Just need to clarify, are you happy with the invoice for the repairs? Is it worth it?
