My neighbor and I both have small garden. I prefer to plant vegetables but my neighbor love to plant flowering plants.
I love both flowering plants and vegetables. Since my garden is too small I prefer to grow vegetables rather than flowering plants. My main reason is that I can save money. My family love vegetables because it is good to our health.
What disappoint me is that my neighbor love the vegetables that I grow. She don't want to plant vegetables but she prefer to ask for my vegetables.
Which do you prefer vegetables or flowering plants.

If the garden is large,i will grow both vegetables and flowers. But due to small garden,i have to make a choice,i will perfer vegetables,it cost less and easier to grow. Some flowers are delicate, have to spend more time and energy taking care of them.

@RejJelyn She shouldn't be greedy just because she's old.

@1creekgirl I love looking at the flowers but I don't pick them. Our neighbors called her narcissistic. I just give what she need in my garden just to build a good relationship.

I grow both but do like things that can look pretty and be edible - nasturtiums make a good salad ingredient and beautiful flowers like fuchsia produce edible berries (if I can get to them before my neighbour!).
