Emigrated again.

Guadeloupe
September 25, 2023 4:24pm CST
So I've moved back to Scotland. Hard to leave Guadeloupe but I really couldn't face taking anymore rich tourists about in a leaky boat round the private coves and beaches for their little parties and assignations and complaining about getting their butts wet when water splashed over the side and soaked the seats. One thing I miss was gathering at Madeleine's beach bar every night. Can't be helped.

I have Scots ancestry and one Scots ancestor even hailed from where another myLotter lives, but I have never been to Scotland myself. Nor have I been to Guadeloupe. But, it has palm trees, and I am allergic to them, so maybe someday, I will go to Scotland.

I have a friend who migrated to the U.S. from Scotland. He still has his accent. .

That is good that you moved back to Scotland. Enjoy the rest of your day.

Did you enjoy people in Guadeloupe? We lived in the south of France many years, we had a few friends from that island.

So are you originally from Guadeloupe? Or Scotland? Or somewhere else entirely? I imagine life in Guadeloupe must be somewhat different to life in Scotland. And are you still there?
