Or have the doctor do it at your check ups.
The audiology office was so nice to Bob and it really was time for him to see them again. VA provides free batteries and wax filters for the VA provided hearing aids. The technician ordered him some.
And cleaned his ears.
And cleaned out the hearing aids.
And reviewed proper care of his hearing aids. He had been shown before he got them, but you know, when you are learning new stuff you do not soak it all in.
Bob can hear again, Hurray!!. Not being able to hear well puts a strain on everything.
So another successful appointment day at the VA!!

I'm glad Bob's appointment went well. Hubs insisted that I purchase some hearing aids for him; but now he says he doesn't need them...of course it's too late to return them! Men! Have a good day.

That's understandable. I'm glad he can hear again.

Vince changes the filters in his aids regularly. I really need to start wearing my one aid again. You're right about deafness putting a strain on everything.

Mom's family doctor cleaned hers out the other week. She felt dizzy and he checked, cleaned them and the dizziness subsided for the most part. She still has a time or two if she gets up too quickly she may feel a little dizzy but not like she was.
Glad Bob can hear again
