And as I wait for her to have breakfast together, I´m almost fainting.
News are not good around here. The Villarrica volcano is showing lots of activity. There are no classes at some schools and 60% of the people who live more near it have evacuated of their own accord.
The mayor though, thinking about money from the tourist, tells in the news not to worry. Meanwhile vulcanologists say that you can´t predict how a volcano will act in a long time basis. So it is better be safe than sorry.
I messaged Tania to say that she was welcome to my 2econd floor for all the time she needed it and that she did not have to act like a visitor. I´m worried for her. She rented her house in Santiago and has all her belongings in Pucón.
I have checked on TV and online at the Villarrica volcano and I would flee.
See you later. I´ll keep you posted about this. Now I´m off to breakfast.

The second floor of myt house has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a small living room. She can do what she wants there. I will not bother her with rap music

@marguicha You have a full apartment on the second floor, she can live there.
I am sure you are not not bothering her with rap music.

@LadyDuck I could bother her with Beethoven but I´m sure that she would not mind.

@TheHorse Up to now she believes more on what the people that live there say. For the moment she is not minding the vulcanologists. And, of course, she won´t mind me either. These last few years both of my daughters look down on me as if I was completly feeble minded.

She hated to live here with the foul air and the concrete. Pucón is nature at its best. But now, if it is dangerous, she can come to me home with her computer as she works online.

@marguicha It could be an enjoyable time, especially if she knows the volcano will stop its tantrum at some point.

@much2say Orange alert is on and classes at some schools are suspended. There are containers nearby filled with bottles of food and water, others with diapers, blankets and the like and materials to put up shelters. With so many earthquakes in our country we are very well prepared for catastrophes.

@marguicha How is the situation now? I couldn't find anything from after 2-3 days ago on the news, but on social media it said it was on orange alert. I hope Tania will get over to your place too!

It does not sound like a good situation and hope you stay safe and it does not come near you. That was very nice of you to let Tania come and stay with you. I do not know much about volcanoes but live in a country with earthquakes and also experienced one myself and grew up in the midwestern part of the United States where they had tornadoes so volcanoes I have not experienced or hurricanes and never want to experience either.

Earthquakes are very scary and I can understand why since you have them so often that you are still scared of them.

My daughter lives near the Villarrica volcano. It is the most active in my country. But the volcanos near where I live are dormant. Still I live near the Andes and they are young mountains. Along all the Andes there are volcanos, some more active than the others.

I hope this is just a false alarm and the volcano is just groaning in its sleep... and it goes back to sleep very quickly.
Take care of yourself and let your daughters worry about themselves. I'm sure they'll be fine.

Our country is between the Andes and the Pacific Ocean. The Andes are a great chain of young mountains so there are volcanoes.

I would flee too if I lived near a volcano that was showing signs of a possible eruption. That sounds like a really scary thing to have to deal with.

A vulcanologist just said that they could not foresee more than a few hours. On the other hsnd, the Mayor who worries about the economy of the pñace says not to worry. But several schools have closed meanwhile. The children will have classes like when there was a quarantine.
