Your childhood friend

Dotty is my childhood friend. We studied together and continued our friendship.
We have common interests - gardening stands out and so also organizing get togethers of class mates. I started this years ago and she got interested too and has had many get together in her house.
We are both senior citizens now. We keep in touch over the phone. We have both visited each other many times and the last was when I saw her a few months ago. She had hip surgery and so I thought it was my duty to look her up.
What's your story.

@writerjo Yes most are married. I had the addresses and phone numbers of a few and requested them to pass on the message to whoever they had contact with

some might not even have married..

It's nice that you and Dotty have maintained your friendship for all these years.
I have one childhood friend that I keep in touch with. We don't live near each other anymore and I do miss seeing her in person. It's been a few years since we met but we still keep in contact via Facebook and of course a good old fashioned phone call.

@allknowing We always stayed in touch and met up around once a year. We enjoy walking and time outdoors, we all took up scuba-diving (although separately - but then we used to sometimes go together) and then we ended up having children within 6 months of each other and our girls get on well so that helps to encourage us to meet up!
