I watched Treasure Island 1999. I watched it on Freevee, but it's also on Tubi and the Roku Channel. It has Sarah Holland, Pax Lohan, Christopher Benjamin, Malcolm Stoddard, David Robb, Kevin Zegers, Cody Palance, Philip Whitchurch, Walter Sparrow, Patrick Bergin, and Jack Palance in it. Big Warning: there is some violence. Spoiler below. This movie version is very very different than the others. Jim Hawkins has a grandmother who owns the inn. After the attack of he inn by Billy Bones' former crew, she dies. The doctor was rude to Jim saying I guess you don't have anything back home after the squire says for Jim to come along on the treasure hunt. After Jim meets Ben Gunn, he goes to the ship and moves the ship. Then Ben tells Jim that his friends are at the stockade. He overhears them saying if Jim is dead, the captain asks to have Jim's share of the treasure. Jim is mad about it and sides with the pirates. He even gets a tattoo. In the end, the captain, the squire, and the doctor die in battle. Jim, Ben Gunn, and Long John Silver leave with the treasure. This was a crazy movie. I didn't like the end. Next week I'm watching Treasure Island 1996. By the way, I do have the audiobook of Treasure Island. I will be listening to it soon.
