Had a difficult day today with power. My inverter almost gave up.

Power was distrupted in my city at 8am in the morning and was only restored at 6.30pm. They made an announcement yesterday (4th October 23), evening which said that it would be distrupted from 8am to 7pm which I couldn't hear as Kittu started barking. They gave no reason for the power cut. The junior engineer didn't pick up the phone when I called him at 6pm. My inverter started giving up. We had to switch off the fans and allow only two lights to burn and later only one. However after the TATA POWER took up they have been charging us more and power cuts have increased. Isn't it inhuman to keep people without power for so long? Should Ratan Tata the head of TATA group of companies get the Bharat Ratan for such inhuman deeds?

Yes, it was great pain and Kittu was very disturbed. He couldn't sleep without the fan but slept till the next day 4am after the fan started moving.

There's no power cut now but I have developed a phobia and try to finish my work fast with electrical gadgets, especially the washing machine that consumes more watts.

One thing I hate is being without power. Fortunately, it hasn't happened for a long while here, and I hope it stays that way.

@aninditasen Ugh, that would drive me mad. The winter before last, we had a terrible storm and the power was out for 3 days. It was also frigid. It was a hellish experience.

@snowy22315 Really that was terrible indeed. We were without electricity for two days long back when there was a storm in the month of April.

It's very difficult to live without electricity. Here power cuts have become frequent but not for so long as it did yesterday.

Thanks for your concern. I run the washing machine early in the morning to save energy in the inverter.

Sorry about the inconvenience that you had to undergo. Hopefully, it is restored for good. Well, Ratan Tata truly deserves a Bharat Ratna and we all know that. Tata group has an immense contribution to this country on a much larger scale. We can't pinpoint every incident. Then, no body actually deserve any award. No one is flawless. Tata group in our country is a brand and India's pride. Yes, they might have shortcomings that they need to correct. But he truly deserves Bharat Ratna.

TATA group made valuable contributions to our country during JDR Tata's reign, especially in the field of locomotives. Yes this made transportation convenient and helped increase business but after him the quality of their vehicles have decreased and has made service costly. Their service based businesses are cheating both the client and the employees. My son was in TCS and he saw how they lied to the client about resources personal and extracted huge amount but never paid well to the resource personal.

In fact, this is a very annoying problem for anyone, despite the previous announcement, but power is essential for home devices, without it we will have difficulty.

Yes, it is tough to manage without electricity. They are disrupting power now frequently without any notice though not for long. I have developed a phobia.
