Got My Injections

I had two injections this morning at Walgreens. I had the covid and flu injection. I had to wait about ten minutes and it only took a couple to get the two injections. It took me longer to roll up my sleeve.
If I’d thought, I’d have worn short sleeves but it was a bit cool and I also wore a jacket. My arm isn’t sore yet, It might be in the morning. The lab guy told me not to be surprised if I didn’t feel well for a couple of days. Have you had your injections?

We need to get our flu shots and COVID boosters. Maybe later this month. I'm glad you got yours. Have a good day.

@LindaOHio I’ve had both shingles and pneumonia shots but I need the new ones too. I had a light case of shingles about three year ago and the doctor told me then to get the new better one but I haven’t done it yet.

@RubyHawk I've had the pneumonia and shingles shots; but there's a new pneumonia shot that I haven't had. My PCP recommended that I get it. I'm so glad you're getting the shingles shot. Shingles are horrible!

I didn't get another Covid booster after the first one. I won't be getting another. Plus, since I stopped getting my flu shot, I haven't gotten the flu in 16 years. I think the flu coincidence really is a coincidence, but I'm still not messing up my streak. I completely understand why others would get those vaccinations though, and I support anyone doing it. I certainly will be getting a shingles vaccine when I reach the recommended age.

My next injection will be shingles and pneumonia injections. I’ve had both but it’s time to renew. Did you notice my picture submitted? If I’d thought it would submit I:would have chosen another one, but I’ll leave it alone. I might not get another one on.

I got covid vaccines awhile ago, but not the most recent ones yet. Haven't had the flu shot yet. The covid vaccines didn't make me feel all that sick, I just felt very tired afterward, and slept the entire next day. Felt tired for the next couple of days. Arm was a bit sore for awhile, but nothing major, thank goodness.

@RubyHawk Yes, what a blessing to only get a little soreness in the arm. The Internet had/has so much information out about all the bad things people were experiencing due to the injections, just really glad that I know people who were fine after the fact.

I just got my flu shot yesterday. My daughter and girlfriend got theirs a month ago, and have been nagging me to get mine. I'm glad I waited, because my employer offered a special deal where we could get a $50 discount on our monthly insurance premiums if we got our flu shot this week. My timing was perfect!

@RubyHawk Yep, it will save me $600 for the year on my insurance costs. And I was planning on getting my flu shot anyway, so it was definitely a win-win for me!

Hope the shots don't creare any side effects and even if they do ,they should be mild

Ever since the covid started, my country suggested 4 covid vaccines for people of my age and condition. I had them all. Yet I did get the covid after them. But it was something mild and I just stayed home.

@RubyHawk I then had asome problems with coughs that I had only experienced when I was a heavy smoker. But it was only for a week.

@marguicha That’s good. My arms a little sore but I feel fine. Had another water leak but but it wasn’t bad and I did hear the guy bang on the door.

No, and I probably won't until next year. I've never had COVID and I haven't had the flu for about eight years. I know one of these years I need to start having them again along with the pneumonia shot.

@RubyHawk I got the shingles vaccine several years ago. I think my sister had shingles a long time ago so once the vaccine can our I jumped on it.

Not yet. I hope to get the flu shot next Tuesday when I go to the doctor (nothing bad just a checkup). And I need to schedule my mother and I for the Covid shot.
