While I was in town, I went to a store called Gabes...Funny story sister took myself and my then husband to Gabriel's in Morgantown WVA. We thought it was the greatest thing since sliced bread and predicted it would spread. It sure has (usually known as Gabes) and they have stores in several states now including this one. Anyway, I found a flappy fish for Nico. I have seen these on FB for 12 bucks, and it was only 5. I thought he didn't like it at first, but once he found out he could make it go, by slapping the belly, he was all for it. I thought I was going to have to bathe it in catnip to get him interested in it. Did you ever get a toy for your pet, and they weren't as impressed as you hoped?

Ellie always loves the toys that I give to her. They have to 'disappear' at night when she isn't awake if they become beyond repair.

Ohh, I hate to hear things like that, when I was little my mom did that with a teddy bear. I was so traumatized I never really got over it. She said later it was filthy and missing an eye ..I didn't care!

@snowy22315 Ellie seems to know when her 'babies' will be disappearing as they tell her. That dog understands more than most do.

@Juliaacv It is good they tell her. She probably forgets by the next day, but at least they made the effort.

We found a cat tree. We thought Chilly would love. It looks like it should be for a kitten not a full grown cat. But he does scratch on it. And, he apparently found a lizard he enjoyed playing with.

You mean a real one? Cat trees and perches and window seats they always seem to like.

@snowy22315 Chilly could care less. He's not a tree or bush dweller, he's happy in the middle. Give him a comfy couch.

That must have been so much fun to see. Sadie doesn’t care about any toys, unfortunately.

Jax is not interested in toys anymore, but he used to into them. His nickname was TK, short for toy killer.

That's great Nico enjoyed his new toy. When Buttons and Ginger were with us their absolute favorite thing was catching the red dot (we bought laser lights from the Dollar Tree). We bought other toys for them and they would play with them for awhile then they were done with them. We would put cat nip on them to try and make them interested again but to no avail. They were more content on their towers or napping on/near us.

Yes, the red dot is always entertaining. He also likes the flashlight on the phone

Nature is his playground.Nico doesn't go outside so toys and windows are what he has.

@snowy22315 I imagine you are right, he plays with my flowers, he chases the butterflies and has fun playing with the other cat.

Gracie finds things in the yard and woods to play with. But she's getting old along with us.

Before our dog Gizmo passed away last summer he had a box full of toys that he played with. Our dog Mush is the opposite. She doesn't play with any toys at all.

That toy sounds cute. I spent about 35.00 on one of those large horse bully balls for Rufus dog. Most Heelers love the balls cause they can herd the ball at top speed. Rufus did that for about five minutes then apparently said enough! He does not have the high need to grab balls and retrieve like our Sally did.

Cats can be so darn annoying sometimes. You get all excited about giving them a toy and they might totally ignore it. It's like they're saying 'You like it. You play with it.'

My dogs were never as interested in toys as they were of anything stuffed that they could gut. Most other toys were left untouched. Have a great day.

@LindaOHio With Nico, anything that has a string, he makes it his mission in life to immediately bite the string, thus ruining the toy.

@snowy22315 Dogs love to take out the stuffing and leave it all over the house. Stuffed toys never lasted over 10 minutes.
