We went to the Art Center for the early showing of the King Tut exhibition this morning There was so much to read on each exhibit that I didn’t have enough time to read everything. I might get a book and read about him or look online.
His gold chariot was a beautiful piece of work. Everything looked bright even after hundreds of years. I got a lot of pictures but not everything in the exhibition. King Tut was crowned king when he was nine years old. He married and had several children who all died as children. King Tut himself died at the age of 18 or 19. It’s an amazing story.

@RubyHawk Yes, he was most likely expected to. Such a sad fate too so young.

@LindaOHio I’ll go to the library next week , I’ll get the book there if they have:it. If not I’ll have them order it from another county library.

That must have been great. I don't really get to museums as much as I would like. I might go to the Smithsonian though sometime soon before it gets too cold.

Oct 18... Well, I haven't looked up anything about this king yet, but it's on my mental list of things to do. When I look up some things about this, expect a book report from me. As a matter-of-fact, let me add a note about this to my planner right now.

@RubyHawk You just made me laugh, yes, how would they know? But hey, maybe the museum folks have (in addition to the exhibit itself) some ancient writings somewhere that give the details??
In the photo that you posted, the gold looks beautiful. Now you have me wanting to spend some time to look up the story of King Tut, but if I add one more thing to my "want to do list" today, I think I'll scream. I'm already behind on my walking, lol.

That exhibit looks like it would be so interesting and seeing artifacts from so many years ago would fascinate me. I don't know much about King Tut either.

I enjoy going to historical museums and learning about new things. Although, I always find there is so much information to take in and not enough time to do it in.
That King Tut exhibit looks like a winner

@RubyHawk Yes, that's usually the case. It is a lot of information to absorb and not enough time to do it .
Glad you enjoyed it!

I'm envious. We were going to go see it in London but that was in early 2020 and something else came up...
There's a lot of stuff online. There are some good documentaries and also some really way-out ones on youtube as well - but those can be fun to watch in their own way.

As a history buff, I remember reading a lot about him when I was growing up. It is indeed all very amazing though sad. I have heard it said he may well have been poisoned, but I'd be curious how they'd be able to say definitively after all this time.

@jnrdutton I don’t know how they could tell after these hundreds of years.

@RubyHawk interesting, I don't think I'd heard that, and if it's the case then I certainly stand corrected.
