Gas prices are way down in Northern California.

Gas prices are down here in the San Francisco Bay Area. But they are still ridiculously high compared to most places in the US. I bought ten gallons the other day at one of my nearby "discount" stations. But it was still over $5.00 per gallon, down from literally $6.00 at some stations. In Montana, I bet it's under $4.00. But I'm not going to drive up there to gas up. Have gas prices been dropping where you live? I am particularly interested in Europe, where different factors seem to influence the price of gas, even as it ebbs and flows (mostly flows--gets more expensive--over the time I've been alive). Are you paying more or less at the pump recently? Photo is of a random old building in the ghost town of Gilt Edge Montana, near my cabin. Calamity Jane used to hang out in Gilt Edge in her later years.

Today it was $3.05 a gallon in Oklahoma, and my dad said three days ago in Hawaii it was in the mid $4 range (he got back from his cruise). He then said in California in some places it was almost $7, to which I said, “Oh, those liberals.” And then I thought of the Horse, and gave an evil grin.

I admit it. I used to be a Liberal. It was largely my upbringing.

I looked at the price of gas when we were at Walmart a little while ago. It's $2.98/gallon here.

@TheHorse Yes, when I filled the tank about two weeks ago we paid around $3.50 a gallon.

@DaddyEvil I have no clue what's causing a drop in US oil/gas prices, relative to the rest of the world.

Here the price of gas is anywhere from $3.93 to $4.03. I don't know if the prices have been dropping since I don't buy it.

Less than here, but still more than they were 20 years ago.

In my part of Los Angeles, I paid $5.69 a gallon today . . . that seems to be about the cheapest here. Yah, it went a wee bit lower from $6 - but still - it has a ways to go before I consider the price to be "way down".

No clue why it's down "more" here. It's still pretty absurd.

Fuel continues to rise in price here. We usually check prices on an app we have then go to the cheapest that isn't too far away.

I think gas prices have been going up overall worldwide. Interesting that we're having a dip here. I'd like to thank Biden. But I have no idea if any of his policies are helping.

I haven't actually looked at gas prices recently. My vehicles seem to magically fill themselves up when I'm not looking (it's only taken me 30 years to get my husband to realize that I appreciate it when he fills my car up when he uses it!)

I don't know what we're doing right here. But I am sure prices will go up again. They always have since I've been alive.

Gas is still 69c a burger at White Castle. It’s under $3 outside of Louisville.

My friend and I shared some lamb tonight. Perhaps Biden should attach a gas line to my body.

@TheHorse - It is already a mess here. Three airports in France had to be evacuated yesterday because of terrorist alerts. Also the Louvre... it's only the beginning.
