I'm not a person who typically gets excited about my birthday, but on Friday, I will be 45! I feel lucky to have made it this far. I am starting to see my perceptions change about what is really important in life and realize that I really don't treat myself with the same love and respect that I treat others. Shame on me lol. I love people. My kids, family, friends, strangers, etc. and I think I should include myself in that group of people that I love dearly. I have been through so much in 45 years, and a lot of it has traumatized me and caused me to lose my voice and not stand up for myself. Well, today that changes. I don't have to let people push me around and make my decisions for me. Years and years of abuse had me feeling so small, but I still have some life in me left, and each day I wake up, even if I'm in pain, it is a blessing. And you are a blessing too! I hope that today you feel empowered and know your worth.
