Do you ever sleep in?

I usually wake up with the sun. My apartment faces East, and I keep my curtains open, so I wind up waking up between 6 and 7 AM, depending on the season. Today I didn't stumble out of bed until 8:30 AM or so. I was up late last night, watching/listening to music videos and talking to a friend on the phone (not at the same time), so I didn't get to bed until later than usual. Today is my longest day at Guitar Center. Hopefully it will be fun. Anyway, do you sometimes sleep in? Photo is of a mountain goat grazing in Glacier Park Montana. It has nothing to do with the post.

I've been falling asleep without meaning to fall asleep... Last night I was talking on myLot and then woke up about 10 pm and wondered why I'd fallen asleep. Have fun at Guitar Center today, pony.

@TheHorse The doctors said that stress could cause "flares" and my thyroid would cause problems. I think that's what has been happening...

I hope you can figure it out. Do you need more rest?

@DaddyEvil I hope you can reduce the stress part. I'm doing that now, sanding speakers and looking forward to bed.

Rarely. But from time to time, yes. And it usually irritates me.

Why does it irritate you? I am happy in my flannel sheets.

@porwest I really enjoy my time in bed. If I am thinking, I am being "productive." If I am dreaming, I am "clearing my mind."

@TheHorse I like to get my day started as soon as possible and to me time in bed is time wasted.

I usually sleep in my bed, but sometimes on the couch... And I get up when I get up.

depending on weather conditions, with very hot air I certainly can't sleep more than 1 hour.

My perfect sleeping hours are 12 midnight to 8 or 8:30am. I absolutely love not having to get up at 6am to get kids off to school and me off to work by 8. Is Glacier Park near where you live up there?

It's about a 4 hour drive away. Montana has only 1,000,000 people, but it's a big state!

@TheHorse Have you thought anymore about living in your cabin there permanently?

@1creekgirl The cabin does not have insulation, so I'd freeze there in the Winter. Plus I'd be snowed in. But I have been pricing houses in an around Lewistown Montana.

Sleeping in for me means not waking up until 6 AM. Most days I get up at 5. If I sleep later than 6 it becomes very difficult to get to sleep when bed-time comes back around.

Over the past few days, my schedule has shifted toward what it used to be. Even when I taught 8 AM classes, I stayed up late.

@TheHorse I've always been the person who starts nodding off early. I turn into a pumpkin long before midnight.

Good Sleep can be sometimes hard to get by. Yet if I get a chance I do try to cover on sleep. I hope that your day at the Guitar Centre was good Since you slept late, so that makes for getting up earlier in the morning that much difficult.

@TheHorse — I’m not into three-minute songs that take 45 minutes to perform. I do like their “commercial/friendly” songs like “Alabama Getaway,” “Truckin’,” and “Uncle John’s Band.”

Though I could sleep in every day, I rarely do. Most days, like you, I'm up between 6 and 7. After making coffee and taking the dogs out for their post-breakfast potty (K takes care of their first out and breakfast), I have breakfast and do the day's chores, which don't usually take that long. By 9 or so, I'm at work on the computer.

My husband had to be early at the hospital this morning, at 5:30 I was already in the kitchen making breakfast. Right now it's dark until 8 in the morning. Today it rains, it is still dark.

@TheHorse - Everything went well at the hospital. Nothing has changed from the last visit that for him means a lot. He cannot get better, so it's really good news if he does not get worse.

Occasionally I sleep in but not very often. If I manage to drift off again about 5 or 6 when I might make it through till 8.

@TheHorse Being a bit tired and/or worn out often helps towards getting a decent sleep.

As I don't work I can get up whenever I want. But I try not to sleep late as I wake up feeling out of it rather than refreshed, So I have an alarm set for 8 am. But now that we are doing remodeling I have to wake up earlier so I can shower and have breakfast before the contractor shows up.

@TheHorse Well, the kitchen remodel is going on from end of July. That is not totally done yet. And the contractor already started on the living room bathroom. And after that there is more that my mom wants to do. I hope it will all be done by the end of November but doubt it will be.

Nice picture. I usually sleep late unless I have an early appointment or I just can’t sleep. I have some nights I don’t sleep at all so I sleep when I can. After the leaves fall, the rising sun shines in my window right in my eyes.

There are two times a year when the morning sun shines right in my eyes when I am at my desk. I have to close my curtains. I have not "charted" when those two or three day periods are.

@TheHorse I’m not sure when the sun shines in my eyes but it has to be fall or winter when leaves are off the trees. We still have plenty of leaves but they’re beginning to turn.

Cool photo. I saw a mountain goat in Nevada. My husband says I didn't. I don't sleep in because I rarely sleep at all. Have a good day.
