Do you believe that talent is innate? Therefore, can't it be learned?

Each of us has our distint personality and we also have our own talent, we sing, we dance, we act...basic things that can be shown...it's within us, like dancing. If our body can perform a step well according to what's supposed to be, and you can add up a little enhancement, then you're a good dancer. There are just those who can perform a step but just as so for it to be performed, not for it to be beautifully performed, with grace, with a touch of feelings, with gusto...you know we can dance whenever and anytime we like but how it is performed is up to our body.Like singing, I for one believes that it can really be learned. But if we have the ability to sing notes when we were young then it would just be improvement, trainings and enhancement for one to become a singer. For those who doesn't have any inclination to music, don't despair for if you want to learn it, you can start....

the talent can be classified into two categories.. the talents which r inborn and those which we pick up in our life.. the things like aesthetics, imagination, creativity are basically inborn, one without it cannot develop it. but the characteristics like memory, knowledge, riding etc can be learnt in life

i think most talent can be learned, you just have to work A LOT harder at it then the people who already have talent. this is something that can be done in singing and dancing. its just how much you want to work at it. if you have 2 left feet you just have to work harder to overcome it.

I believe that the most talented people start with innate ability. Everyone can learn just about anything, but the ones that out shine all, are the ones that learned it with the innate ability already.

It's innate, I suppose. But it doesnt mean the skill cant be learnt. Singing, for instance. It's innate. People with this talent may sing beautifully without learning the vocal technique. But people who dont have that talent, can still learn to sing.

Yes talent is innate. This can be seen at avery young age. My daughter could sing well right fromher child hood. My grand son could do jigsaw puzles at the age of two.He can now do a puzzle with 1000 pieces.some are good sport persons and some good dancers and actors.
Training is like the animals in circus .They are trained to do certain acts and they do it. human being is no different

I think that certain people have talents towards certain things. So they'll just naturally pick something up. However, if others want to learn something and don't have a natural talent for it, they can still learn and spend more time practicing. Sometimes people with a natural talent don't spend time at something and then they aren't as good at it as someone who didn't have the natural talent, but spent hours at it.
I don't think I have much natural talent for music, but I have spent a lot of time practicing over the years.

I think we are born with certain talents, but if we have no chance to practice them, or play around with them, they probably will never develop into what they could be. Some people are born with talents and their parents, or others, fail to recognize them for what they are, and squash the hopes and desires that can turn them into something more. Sometimes kids have to be given the opportunity to see where their true talents lie, without intervention from parents. Too often parents and others place their expectations on their child.
Some talents are innate, and some can be learned over time. Some people can dance, some can sing, some try hard, but they will never 'feel' the music to be able to sing it, or dance it. I had an Aunt who couldn't hit the right note (ever) when she was singing. Practice as she might, she never improved, even though her heart and soul was totally into it. She had the ability to hear and appreciate music, but not the talent to transform the notes she heard into a melody of song. Just because the desire is there does not mean that someone will be successful. Sometimes the desire to do well will not make it be so, no matter how hard one tries.

Well we are all different as human beings it would be boring to be all the same like a factory assemble line , i believe everyone has ther own hidden talent and it just needs to be mastered , and anyone is capable if they put there mind to do what they wish , i have been a artist most my life i enjoy just sitting down most of all and freehand drawing , i still do.One of lifes pleasures i indulge in a lot when not sculpting or painting etc , live long and prosper:)

Ofcourse talent is innate. Learning is quite different. Learning is always attached with particular subject. Learning sometimes fail at certain circumstances. But what we get natural is always real & that is called TALENT, the other one is EXPERT.
