Well, I was away from myLot for a while, but it doesn't mean I wasn't still at my "old thing" which is, of course, a thing I will never give up having fun with.
This is just a little rendition I put together of Staler Wheel's Stuck In the Middle, recorded 10 days after I told my boss to stick his job where the sun doesn't shine.
***Disclaimer: myLot powers that be, this is IN NO WAY monetized and I make nothing from this other than a FOOL of myself, so please don't take it down.
Either way, I had fun doing it. Let me know how bad it was, or if you like it gives me a thumbs up. Is this the part where I take song requests? lol
That all said, I would still LOVE to do some sort of collab with @TheHorse, but he never bought that DAW or audio interface I told him about, so I don't even know how we'd share files to get one done. lol Ideas Horse?

I really enjoyed it. I think you should do something with @TheHorse too! You even look a little alike. Have a good week.

Not a bad rendition at all, Jim! It’s a great song that I love to sing along to. Especially this day and age with so many jokers and clowns out there in the world.

@porwest I gave it a listen. Honestly, I wish you could increase the "dynamic range" of the recording. Some things were happening that I could not really hear. A funny note: I find myself singing that song all the time, and it's been that way for years. Between the Trumpians and the PC whiners, I want to go hide in the forest somewhere.

@TheHorse To be fair, I didn't do any "mixing" on that one. Just threw it together and went with it. But I agree. Only people "in the know" tend to notice stuff like that.
I still have all the files. Maybe I will go back and give it a little TLC and see if I can spruce it up. It's a fun exercise if nothing else.
It's a great song for "political angst." lol

Cute picture. Is it a random boy or you when you were little? I'll give the song a listen later.

So I listened to the song and while I liked how it sounded I could not make out what you were singing lol. And the volume wasn't low. Perhaps I have to give it another listen once the contractor leaves.

@lovebuglena A lot of people say that and I never can figure that out. I can always hear the words. But it could be when it comes my own original songs I know what the words are, or even with covers I do. It's not across the board either, but I do hear that comment a lot.
@TheHose, I know you talked about dynamics...were the lyrics clear enough or loud enough?

@TheHorse Not that it has anything to do with your comment, or kinda sorta does. But boy, the version of NIN's Hurt by Johnny Cash. Wow. From mediocre rock song to amazing sorta country song that will become a classic for the Cash version for sure and he heard for years to come.

Thanks. I do appreciate that. Not to be too technical but I did the main guitar part and vocal as one part and then added in the drums and other guitar parts. So, the main vocal and main guitar part would have been tough to isolate the vocals from and make them louder.
But I am glad you liked it nonetheless. I have fun doing that sort of thing.
