We had loads of papayas once upon a time and as I repeatedly complain the weather specially heavy rain has killed almost all our papaya trees.
I bought one papaya yesterday but it is not the kind I would want to eat but since I am going to eat more fruits I will have to take what is available.
The papayas in the photo are the ones that we had in our garden juicy and sweet.

The papayas in the photo look really good. I love papaya. I sometimes make papaya soup.

Papayas are said to the fruits of the poor and they grow everywhere here, except in the rains the plants do not survive

They look really good. They sell papayas here, but they look kind of greenish in the store. They taste perfectly ripe though. I like them, but don't buy them often, only the bigger stores have them really.

Here most gardens have them but in the rains most trees die

Same here. Bananas are our staple diet but papayas normally grow in our garden
