Hopefully everyone knew these next two songs were coming. I mean, when it comes to songs with “ain’t” in the title, these two are high on the well-known list. Sure, I can be weird, but I ain’t that weird to ignore this one!
#4: You Ain’t Seen Nothin’ Yet - Bachman-Turner Overdrive
This has been a terrible year for Randy Bachman. Two of his brothers/band mates have passed away this year.
Go back to the 70s and you see Randy leaving the Guess Who and forming his own rockin’ band with C.F. Turner. And man, did they make a splash!
This was their only U.S. #1 song; however, they enjoyed more success in their native Canada. They are in the Canadian Music Hall of Fame, making Randy Bachman one of only two people who are enshrined there twice (as part of BTO and part of the Guess Who). The other two-time inductee is his Guess Who partner (and frequent current tour partner) Burton Cummings.
Turn it up!
You Ain’t Seen Nothin’ Yet

Of course! The Stuttering song, poking fun at the brother with the stutter...

I read that he did that as a joke in the demo but not in the recording. The producer didn’t like it without the stutter.

@FourWalls I don't think it would work without it, personally.

@porwest — I think it’s because we’re so used to it. I’ve heard the original version of Warren Zevon’s “Accidentally Like a Martyr” and gone, “WHAT???” (even though I really like it now, but it’s completely different from the Excitable Boy version).

B-B-B- Baby what a great pick!
Excellent tune! And a great stutter which makes the song really cool!!! They really took care of business with this track.

They didn’t “Let It Ride” with the greatness of this one, for certain!!!!

Saw them standing in mud up to my knees, a rainy outdoor concert in Illinois.

Hope it was worth it. I’ve been soaked to the bone at a concert, but it was so worth it.
