@LindaOHio We had a nice day outside today, just needed lighter long sleeves....but that won't last long. But I wish it could be shorts, tank tops, and sandal weather all year

SNOW!!! SNOW!!! SNOW!!! Call it snow, because that's what it is--SNOW!! Hey, we live in the Midwest. It snows here, that's just what it does. That's normal. I always try to look at the good side--it's not hail, which destroys everything in it's path. It's not ice. I can most generally walk on snow, even with my crutches--but I can't walk on ice. Weather is weather--and nothing we do or say is ever going to change it. It's going to happen, regardless. It's moisture. What we don't get in rain, often gets caught up with snow. It's been raining and snowing for thousands of years...it's not going to stop in our lifetimes, so we may as well accept it. If we get a decent snow soon, my adult son and I have big plans to make a snowman for the first time in years and years. Who knows, maybe we will even toss a snowball or two or twelve.

@MarieCoyle People in NE Ohio, who should be used to brutal winters, cannot drive in s**wy conditions. The first couple storms of the season finds cars by the side of the road all the way down the freeway. Hope you have a wonderful day.

I know I can't do anything about it; but I will continue to complain. I hope you get your s**w so you can play in it. Everyone is used to my typing the word s**w; and they think it's funny. S**w is a dirty word in our area!!! Have a great day!!!

@LindaOHio We all have different likes and dislikes, I know. I've always enjoyed snow. I like spring and I love fall, winter is fine--the only times I don't like winter is when there is an ice storm, or it dives way down below zero and just stays there with no break. I really do not like the summer days that are way over 100 degrees, with high humidity. To me, those are the most miserable days weather-wise. I have had to let go of the things I cannot change, and one of those things is weather. It does always amaze me how many people who have always lived where there is snow, but cannot seem to drive in the winter at all--they punch that accelerator and try to fly down the roads or around curves, and they ditch their car or cause an accident. If they would just slow down, but they won't.

We woke to snow on the ground also, messy and wet snow. It is awfully damp outside. I had a deli turkey and Swiss wrap yesterday with some cucumbers on the side for lunch yesterday. I sliced up a golden delicious apple and brought that for a snack, but the twins decided that they would rather eat that, so Nanny only got a bit. We had burgers for supper.

So cute that the twins ate your apple...and Nanny was sweet enough to let them.

@LindaOHio I will do anything to encourage eating healthy foods. They have tried apple slices with me in the past, and they never liked the texture and would spit it out.

Everything is frosted over again this morning but at least it isn't s**w. You keep that stuff up there so I don't have to deal with it. I made beef, broccoli and noodles for supper last night.

I'm genuinely upset that October is over already. I just can't believe how fast time seems to be speeding up these days. I blinked, and the month is over. I know that Christmas is still 2 months away, but the way time seems to by flying it will be here in gone in what will seem like 3 more days! lol

Yay! The countdown. LOVE it. And that number seems so small although still large. But probably only because I HATE winter. But hey, it's supposed to be in the 70s this weekend, so that should be nice. For dinner I made braised pork with caramelized onions with some ajvar rice on the side, and we had a little mac and cheese and a little buttered corn leftover, so we mixed it up and we ate that too.

@LindaOHio I honestly think it DOES make the time go by faster. When you can put a timeline on it it doesn't seem as long for some reason.

Ah yes! Winter is so beautiful. You knew this day would come. I understand you wanted to put it off a while longer, but winter will not be held back, even if we still have another month and a half before winter is official. Everything sounds good except those lima beans. Yesterday, the only thing I ate at home was breakfast. There was a birthday celebration at Bible study yesterday followed by lunch with the ladies at Pizza Ranch. I did my best to keep my calories under control and believe I did a good job. Though that cheesecake had 510 calories alone. I have yet to weigh myself this morning and see the damage done yesterday. I'm hoping it's very little since it was the last thing I ate yesterday. I didn't have anything more when I got home.

@LindaOHio It was good drizzled with a little bit of strawberries. I understand. You won't be alone. Many people will complain until spring arrives. Then I will start complaining. Not really. I don't complain about anything. I just long for winter.
