How much of a kidder are you?

The word kidder looks odd as I type it. Do you find that kidding comes naturally to you? I think it’s easier to do it in person rather than in a text or email because something can get lost in the translation.
Of course, it hits different if a person has a history of being mean spirited, and you don’t know if they really are kidding or not. The more you know the person, the more obvious it is, I think.
I probably get the kidding around from my dad, who does it a lot. Most people find it funny, but you do have to be careful. Now that I’m older I appreciate his weird sense of humor a lot more.

I tease and joke a lot... It's usually easy to tell when I'm playing and when I'm being serious. So far, I can't remember anyone misunderstanding me on myLot and I hope they never do.

@DaddyEvil I know you're a good tease. It's what makes you loveable and you.

Margot Kidder?
My physical therapist was complimenting me for how funny I am (she showed me a “sidestep” exercise, so I pulled out my phone and played “The Sidestep” by Charles Durning). I love to laugh and to make others laugh. We don’t have enough laughter in the world, in my opinion.

@AmbiePam — I’m single-handedly trying to undo the damage done to the name Karen.

Maybe it's not so apparent here, but I can be a huge kidder. I grew into the part later in life though . . . it's something that developed when I finally "blossomed". Would kidder and jokester be the same thing? I was quite the jokester with my co-workers when I was working . . . oh it helped to pass the time away!

I like to joke around/kid around a lot lol. My son doesn't like it because he thinks we are just being mean! I love being sarcastic too, but that is not exactly the same lol

I like to tell anecdotes...and do often say things in a joking manner in my "real" life. Most people think it is funny, as long as not directed at them in particular.

Our son Robert was always a kidder, always has a smile. Tammy's a great person, but when she was little, her first instinct was to frown!
You seem to have your dad's great sense of humor.

@AmbiePam I guess we all change as we grow. Robert and Tammy are really close, I'm so thankful for that. But they're as different from each other as Dale and I are! Robert has my disposition and Tammy's a lot like her daddy.

Majorly so haha sarcasm, puns, just being goofy or playfully sassy just comes naturally to me. Even when I am dealing with a troll, sometimes the troll ends up liking me because I'll like to play with them instead of being immediately offended. It's so fun!

I will tease at times, but I try to keep it light and funny when I do. My Dad was a huge jokester. He found laughter where there was none, and tried hard to be lighthearted.

He was a fun guy. He said life was so hard at times, we all need more laughter. He was correct, we certainly do!!

I have odd streaks of kidding and teasing that occasionally emerge. Mostly people consider me to be serious.

I can relate to what you are saying since my late parents did have strange ways of speaking where I picked up the words or phrases that are considered original.

Yes, you must be careful with the kidding, especially online. Someone could mistake it for being serious. Have a great day.

I am actually QUITE the kidder. Although I am often brash, there is a "wittier" side to me and I use it often. There are many times when even my kidding gets taken the wrong way. But it is what it is. I would change nothing of my overall personality because it's sort of my schtick in many ways and I had made part of my living from it.

I am very sarcastic and like to kid around a lot. My particular brand of humor isn't for everyone though. @AmbiePam
