A red fox story from Baltimore

A red fox sighting in Baltimore Maryland last week

Victoria Howard who is a 73 year old female was walking with her dog Georgie in my home in her neighborhood which is located near the Maryland Zoo last week when she saw what she thought was a kangaroo. What happened next is that Maryland Zoo Communications Director Mike Evitts did report that the zoo does not have any kangaroos inside of their facility. Victoria's daughter did obtain surveillance camera footage of the small animal in the alley near her mother's home and she found out that the animal was a red fox which was likely looking for rodents. Laws in Baltimore forbid anyone to know a kangaroo. At least no one was harmed seeing the red fox walking in the neighborhood where Victoria lives.' Link is upi.com/285169893939435 via @upi

I can’t fathom mistaking a fox for a kangaroo, but either way, as long as nothing attacked the lady or the dog!

A kangaroo and a fox are two very different animals.

They are good to record any suspicious activity.

I’m wondering how anyone could mistake a fox for a kangaroo.

Maybe because Victoria is up in age, she confused the kangaroo to a fox.

@RubyHawk That is what I am thinking that maybe Victoria thought she saw a kangaroo and not a fox.

@Deepizzaguy That’s funny. A Fox is a small animal and a kangaroo is big and tall.

It's unusual to see a fox out in the daytime. I'm glad no one was harmed.

That is true since I have not heard of many foxes being outside of their homes in the daytime.

Glad that red fox did not hurt anyone. However, how can you mistake a kangaroo for a red fox? Seems there is quite a difference,

That is what I am wondering how could a red fox be confused to a kangaroo in the first place.
