It's never over till it's finished

I mentioned to someone here just a few days ago that a cricket is never over until the last ball is bowled. This came true yesterday when Afghanistan was cruising to an easy victory over Australia in a One-Day International match.
Australia had lost seven batsmen for just 91 runs when Glenn Maxwell began an amazing innings. Afghanistan’s run score was 291.
At that point, Australia had a 1% chance of winning but Maxwell’s 201 runs from just 128 deliveries enabled Australia to win. He hit 21 fours (where the ball must get to the boundary and ten sixes (where the ball has to go over the boundary.
Along the way, he was treated repeatedly for leg and back cramps. He ended the match with a six and a total of 201. It was one of those matches that will long be remembered by those who were at the Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium. And how disappointing for the opposition.
So, @ptrikha_2, @vandana7 and other cricket fans, I wonder who will play in the finals? Australia plays the Proteas next, I think.

South Africa vs Australia Semis is decided (do you remember the Tied 1999 match and Lance Klusener - Allan Donald ? )
And barring wild mathematical possibilities, India squares up to a revived Kiwi side.
Both tough matches !!

@JudyEv We are not into finals. We will have to pay either New Zealand or Aussies. After that, if we win, we will have to play Proteas or whichever team wins over it in the second semi finals. For now, first position, India, second Proteas, third Australia, and fourth New Zealand. But New Zealand is dangerously close to getting out, and Pakistan is dangerously close to stepping in.

@vandana7 What? Can't I root for the teams represented by fellow myLotters? I like it when their teams win. Now, when they play each other, it makes it more difficult to be objective. I like everyone. I also know nothing about Cricket. So, may the best team win.

If Aussies meet India in the final, India can have a tough time facing David Warner, Hazlewood and in out of the world form Glenn Maxwell !!
Incidentally, I too posted about this arguably the best ODI Chase innings by Glenn Maxwell.
What makes it so admirable and memorable is that it came when his team's was in doldrums and staring at a defeat; may be even a below 150 score !!
An indescribable innings !!

Now that's what you call a comeback! What are Australia's chances of reaching the final? Good?

I've never watched a cricket game. I love to watch soccer. Same, you never know the result until the last minute.
