Sexiest Man Alive

All right if anyone is looking I have found the sexiest man alive in 2023. People magazine has chosen Patrick Galen Dempsey an American actor and racing driver. He is a rather young fellow born in 1966. I saw him in my favorite Bridges Jones series of films “Bridget Jones’s Baby”. I thought he had potential but he did not look like anyone I would pick out of a crowd. He is best known for playing neurosurgeon Derek “McDreamy” Shepherd in the medical drama series “Grey’s Anatomy”. I might add here that the name of the character makes me rather queasy. I would have preferred George Clooney when he played Doug Ross in “ER”. So anyway he has been named People’s Sexiest Man Alive 2023 – What do you all think?

Richard Gere was the Sexiest Man Alive a long time ago. Julia, ten years ago Patrick Dempsey was really good looking. He’s still handsome, but like usual, most people shine when they are younger. (Except 90 year old, Ellen Burstyn, who I think is still beautiful.)

Richard Gere is old! A lot of men who were plenty handsome in their younger days haven't aged particularly well..Kurt Russell and Andy Garcia to name a couple.

At 57 years of age, American men must be being revered for their age.
I cannot understand why somebody that old would be given such an accolade.
I guess I would have been more surprised if they had picked President Biden instead.

@RasmaSandra Well, Clint Eastwood is 93, now, they could have picked him, as he still looks mean and lean. I do not know any of the young actors of today either.

He might appeal to some, but he wouldn't have gotten my vote. Now, Anson Mount who played Cullon Bohannon in the series Hell On Wheels would have gotten a thousand votes from me!
