Okay, it's that time of the week. I'm not happy about the results, but here they are. 3 November - Weight 207.1 4 November - 207.9 5 November - 207.3 6 November - 207.8 7 November - 207.2 8 November - 210.2 9 November - 211.6 10 November - 211.9 Today - 210.9 I maintained well for most of the week, then the 8th happened. I ate more than usual. I didn't go over my calorie budget, but I still had over 2000 calories for the day. The next day was a little better for calories consumed, but I still gained weight again. It wasn't until today that I saw the scale come back down again. I really didn't expect it. However, one thing I've found is that when I eat salmon, I lose weight. So I am down a pound today. I'm having salmon again for lunch, so hopefully, it continues to go back in the right direction. How are you doing with your weight? Thanks for reading. Image courtesy of Pixabay.

Everyone has little slip-ups in dieting. Don't let it stress you out too much. The main thing being, you are still aware, still tracking your weight, and still trying. The only way I have ever lost weight and kept it off is when I set a calorie limit and stuck to it. It took me a long time to find something that actually worked, but that did.

Thank you. I'm glad you found setting a calorie limit helped.

@MarieCoyle I'm glad it works well for you. I find when I stay below the calorie budget brought about by the amount of exercise I do, I lose weight too and can maintain that weight. I'm also seeing what foods cause weight gain even when I'm staying below the calorie budget.

@just4him I think the reason it helped me is that most diets forbid things and your choices can be very limited. When the calorie count is set low and I follow it, I just do better--I think it's because I can have my own choices, but I have to stop for the day when the calories are used up. This method has also made me think about my choices in foods more, and how much I am going to use up in certain meals. Over the years I have tried many different methods and this is the only one that truly worked for me, and I have been able to maintain what I lost. I'm just thankful.

Your weight is staying fairly stable, maybe with a few changes you can get it right where you want it.

I have salmon a couple of days every week, it is expensive but it is healthy. The problem with a reduced calories diet is the fact that, as soon as you have a little more, the body stores.

Hopefully it's water weight and will eventually come off. Not doing well here. I usually try to lose a few pounds before the holidays; and that's not happening this year! Hope you are having a good weekend.

Sorry about how the scale has been. Sometimes it can go that way, and it is very frustrating. That's good that it came back down today and hopefully that continues. I am back up with my weight some, but just have been eating what I want. So guess I should expect that

Yes, it is frustrating. You've had a lot to deal with, so I'm not surprised you ate what you wanted.

@just4him I know that feeling very well Well for a while I was eating a lot less but think I need the higher dose of my one medicine because I have been more hungry.

I eat a lot of salmon myself. I just wish it wasn’t so expensive. I lost four pounds, so I was happy with that. Four pounds in one month isn’t great, but considering everything going on, I’m okay with it. Next month, maybe I’ll have another four off.

Salmon is good and healthy..Maybe you could aim for it or some kind of fish once a week. It is hard to go to a special event and stay focused on healthy eating. I was at one today..and loaded up my plate when I should have just had a little..but you know you have to taste everything...It is the law... Well, I did end up tossing some of it, which was wasteful but at least it isn't going to my waistline.

Yes, I know that law. Yesterday, I indulged again in that law. At least this time, I had salmon to help lose a pound.

It can be a bit discouraging when the weight goes on so quickly but hang in there. You're slowly getting there.
