I prefer a desktop to a laptop, because a desktop promises more memory and speed as compared to laptop. I think laptop is only for mobility..

I prefer desktop for speed of hard disk.....I think that without the limit of 5400 rpm for 2,5" hdd a laptop well configured is the best. But now the speed is a limit for laptop, and prices of laptops are too high!

i prefer powerful laptops because they are mobile and are fast as desktop machines, we can take the laptop anywhere and use it even for playing games, but a gaming laptop is quite expensive , i prefer laptop over dektop computer, why do you prefer a laptop?

i prefer laptops,but the gaming models only with lots of ram and a good graphics card .....also i like 17"LCDs .....

I prefer both because as a graphics/multimedia designer desktop PC is better. in terms of web designing laptop is better because you can present you work to your clients anywhere.
