Where in the World?

If you had the resources to live anywhere in the world, where would it be? Would it be on a beach somewhere? In the mountains? In the desert? Or in a lush forest? Would you want to live in the city or on several acres in the country? You all know what I would pick. It would be in the Florida Keys. It would be hot and humid but soooo beautiful; and there's tons of wildlife. My hubby could have his boat; and he could go fishing every day. What about you? Photo Credit: Pixabay - Florida Keys

I don't know where I'd want to live but it would have to be someplace that didn't get overly cold with snow in winter or get tornadoes or hurricanes .... wait, I think I live there

I'm sure snow has it's perks but I really don't want that here.

@rebelann I'm not into any outdoor sports in the winter time; so s**w has no use to me!

Branson, Missouri. The Ozarks are gorgeous, and every month I could go to town and see a show. I also don’t want to live too far for my family and friends to come see me. It’s really humid in the summer, but so is Oklahoma. Not as humid as Florida though.

Definitely on a beach. Next to your cottage. With a speedboat to get me out of there when they mention “tropical storm.”

I like the Ozarks but would like some acres out in the country, away from even this small city life. I could still go into the city to buy groceries when I needed but wouldn't be surrounded by other people all the time.

@LindaOHio Growing up on the farm meant we were half a mile from the neighbors on both sides of us. That was very nice.

I wouldn't leave my house as my parents bought it in 1970 and it reminds me of them. But even though I want to live in my house my sister thinks I should move to an apartment closer to her I may move but the condition is they allow cats. I am confused

@jstory07 it is and I will probably stay here because where my sister wants me to move is another county and I would not be able to have my doctors whom I love and my case manager and peer whom I adore

That would be a hard one for me. I love the mountains, and the beach!! I wouldn't want to be anywhere that is very cold so maybe a winter house in Hawaii and summer house in the mountains??

I always thought Eugene, Oregon would be a great place to live..great climate, lots to do. Oregon is nice state and offers euthansia. Hawaii that has a little bit of everything would be nice..also Southern Colorado or Northern Arizona would be nice. CLoser to home, anywhere but the piedmont in NC would be good..too...I would probably pick the Western section though where the humidity is less. That might actually be a doable thing some day.

I love the Oregon coastline. I've always wanted to go to Hawaii. Northern Arizona is a lot cooler and greener than Phoenix where my SIL lives. Phoenix was awful.

@snowy22315 The day we were in Phoenix it was over 100. In the evening after the sun went down, the parking lots were still hot. And I don't care for desert scenery. Flagstaff was nice.

Too much choice has a sort of paralysing effect - you just can't decide! When we moved house a few years ago our circumstances had changed and we could have moved practically anywhere in the country. So what did we do? We ended up buying a house less than a mile from our old one, just round the corner!

@LindaOHio I know! When we first moved to this village I met several people who had moved about within it and I thought it was crazy - I mean why not move somewhere different?? And then we ended up doing the same thing!

@Fleura lol Our last move was only 3 miles; but it was a different township and totally different area...we have 1.25 acres and just love it.

If I had the resources I would have several places. One for the winter months and, one for the summer ones. I would want a place in the mountains with some land for horses and goats. And a place near a city where I could shop and go out to eat. No dessert for me. Lush forest. That would be nice. Fishing everyday does sound good since I love fish.

I am torn on that one. On one hand, give me a place like the Keys so I can go scuba diving every day. On the other hand, I would like to live out in the forest away from everyone and everything and just camp every day.
